TOPIC: What's the most interesting thing you have learned so far?

Polo:

All of the polo ponies get 6-8 weeks of vacation between each season (there are 2 seasons each year). For those weeks, these equine athletes get to just chill in a pasture doing boring horse stuff.

Saddle-seat & Driving:

Horses that drive don't normally see what they are pulling. They obviously see the cart or carriage when they are not currently attached to it, but they wear blinders once they are connected to it because it helps them stay focused on the job. It can also keep them calmer because it limits all the distractions happening around them.
